Defensive tackle Shaun Smith has rejoined theCincinnati Bengals, four days after the team released him. 

The Bengals need another defensive lineman while Domata Peko recovers from knee surgery. They signed Smith last Wednesday, then released him on Saturday. Smith played for the Bengals from 2004-06 and for the Browns the last two years.

Smith had been out of the NFL since Detroit released him on Sept. 5.

It didn't take long for former Browns defensive lineman Shaun Smith to find work. Smith, released by the Browns on Saturday after clashing with line coach Bryan Cox on Friday, agreed to terms Monday on a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, his agent Neil Schwartz said. He'll make $1 million with the Lions, and become a free agent after the season.
